Understanding healthy lifestyles
The stigma of a child's weight can pose many consequences impacting their psychological and physical health, including an increase in being bullied, a vulnerability to depression, anxiety and substance abuse, as well as social isolation and adverse academic outcomes.
Impacts of child obesity:

- Go, Slow, Whoa slim car-English/Español- This educational slim card includes information about go, slow and whoa foods.
- Recipe / Activity Book (English / Español) – This is a coloring / activity book that includes kid friendly recipes to encourage healthy eating and ways to stay active.
- Screen Time Brochure-English/ Screen Time Brochure-Español- This brochure discusses the Academy of American Pediatric(AAP) screentime recommendations and prompts families on how to make a family media plan.
- Yoga cards - English / Yoga cards - Español Yoga helps us practice mindfulness. That means, it can help you be aware of different sensations and feelings in the body. During yoga, you can regulate your nervous system by moving, stretching and breathing. Use these cards to learn different yoga poses.

How to Grow Microgreens: Learn how to grow microgreens and be able to teach the children and families that you serve how to grow them. The training provides an overview of the lessons and the materials so you can bring this helpful content your organization
5210+ Every Day: 5210+ Every Day is an educational program that teaches lessons on healthy lifestyle choices on the following key topics: Eating a nutritious diet, being physically active, reducing fun screen time, and getting quality sleep. The program includes 4 lessons that can be taught either individually or in a classroom environment. The training provides an overview of the lessons and the materials so you can bring this helpful content to your organization.
Trauma Informed Nutrition Security training: This session will introduce the trauma-informed approach to your work in addressing food insecurity.
Garden Workshops: Garden Workshops provide community partners with opportunities for education, networking and sharing insights on various gardening topics. These workshops are hosted in partnership with the North Texas School Garden Network
